This works similarly to the Company Name criteria, except that it looks for companies whose parent matches the keyword(s) entered. For example, if you enter ‘microsoft’, your search results will include companies such as ‘Microsoft Corp’ and ‘Visio’ (a branch of Microsoft).
Note that searching by Parent Company Name will not include the parent company listing in the search results – it will only list all of the locations that report to that parent location. To search for parent listings, refer to the topic, Location Type. Note that a Parent Name search will not retrieve companies located outside of the scope of the particular product slice that you have purchased.
